New "ScanSnap Go" Feature for the iX2500

ScanSnap Go enables quick scanning by holding your smartphone near the scanner

PFU Limited has released a major update for the ScanSnap iX2500, part of the ScanSnap image scanner series known for fast, one‑touch document digitisation.

This update introduces the ScanSnap Go feature, which allows you to operate the iX2500 by simply holding your smartphone close to the scanner — a practical option for shared offices, hot‑desking environments, and other flexible workspaces.

Features

Simply bring your smartphone close to instantly connect to any iX2500 using your own scan settings.

ScanSnap Go temporarily connects your smartphone to the iX2500 when you hold your device near the scanner.

This enables you to use an iX2500 quickly across different locations, such as a free‑address office on another floor or a shared workspace. It also makes it easier for multiple family members to share the same scanner at home.

If you already use an iX2500, your usual scan settings will appear on the touch panel. This means you can use any iX2500 with the same experience as your own device.*1

Once disconnected, user information is cleared from the iX2500, helping maintain security.

The ScanSnap Go feature makes scanning more convenient for both business and home use.

  • Scan swiftly with your own settings in a free‑address office
  • Scan using an iX2500 located at a branch office you visit during business travel
  • Scan documents instantly at trade shows
  • Scan at home using your own settings without switching users
