Amazon Review of the iX1500
So far, this scanner has done exactly what I want it to. It has scanned a very large number of pages very quickly. It picks up handwriting in pencil and even in fountain pen ink that has faded a lot over time without any trouble. I haven’t needed to keep changing the settings and endlessly re-scan documents to achieve this as I’ve had to do with other, standard office scanners in the past. This has really sped up the process for me, for which I am very grateful.
I liked that this product automatically removed blank pages from the final scanned file (again, a time-saver for me)… although, of course, this feature doesn’t work as well if you’ve got ink bleeding through from one side of the page to the other.

It’s a big improvement. The scanner is a lot faster for one; but the main benefit is the screen that lets you customise actions on the screen as you scan. I personally use this to automate different processes between files I want to sync with our finance system, files I want to scan into our team shared folder and those I want on my computer. What used to take a lot of hunting for files and moving them is now automated.
There is a useful attachment for scanning business cards… The scanner is ideal for home office or family, and probably works for a small team. I’d look at the fi7300nx for anything much bigger.
